Haddas Baron was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. She excitedly moved to Asheville to attend UNCA in 2015, where she is now a third year double major in International Studies and Anthropology. As the Center for Diversity Education's Peace Studies Coordinator, Haddas will explore genocides, specifically the Holocaust, in hopes of raising the consciousness of her peers, and helping the community effect change. She is excited to promote education and awareness of the Holocaust through presenting programs and local exhibits. She plans to use art and group activities to enhance these conversations. In her free time she enjoys hiking, spending time with her family and friends, and playing with dogs.
